In 1755 Thomas Lord, founder of the Lord’s Cricket Ground, was born in Thirsk.
You can visit the museum and view what is on display, including cricketing memorabilia, local life/industry, farming equipment, furniture, costumes and toys.
Situated in Kirkgate just opposite the road from

Open until 2nd November. Closed on Wednesday afternoons and Sundays.

Thomas Lord’s Cricket Ground
Is a cricket ground in London, England.
It was built in 1814 and opened in 1815.
The ground was formerly known as the Kennington Oval and was a major venue for cricket matches until the end of the 19th century.
The first ever Test match, between England and Australia, was played at this ground in 1880.
